Safe YOU Participates in Women in Tech Summit in Warsaw

The Safe YOU team proudly participated in the Women in Tech Summit in Warsaw together with our valued partner, Feminoteka, joining global leaders, innovators, and advocates working to advance technology and create more inclusive and safer environments for women and girls.

Throughout the summit, Safe YOU had a dedicated booth where the team showcased the Safe YOU solution and engaged with participants, partners, and organizations interested in innovative approaches to addressing gender-based violence and strengthening digital safety. The event provided a valuable opportunity to build new connections and hold multiple strategic meetings focused on potential partnerships and future collaboration opportunities.

Beyond showcasing the solution, Safe YOU actively contributed to important discussions around technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV), one of the rapidly growing challenges affecting women and girls globally.

Mariam Torosyan represented Safe YOU through interviews during the event and participated as a panelist in the discussion titled “Beyond Outrage: Building Collective Response to Technology-Facilitated Violence Against Women.”

The panel brought together experts from research, frontline support, policy, and the technology sector to discuss the increasing risks of online violence against women and the urgent need for stronger institutional responses. The discussion addressed how harmful technologies and digital platforms can enable violence, while emphasizing that responsibility should not fall solely on women to protect themselves. Instead, stronger accountability from institutions, platforms, and collective action from society are essential to creating safer digital spaces.

The panel featured distinguished speakers including Sylwia Spurek, President of European Fem Institute; Liliana Religa, Digital Tools Manager at Feminoteka; Mariam Torosyan, CEO of Safe YOU Armenia; and Martyna Różycka, Head of the Department for Responding to Illegal Content on the Internet at Dyżurnet.pl, NASK.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Feminoteka for the partnership and collaboration, and to the Women in Tech Summit for creating an important platform where innovation, advocacy, and collective action come together to drive meaningful change.

Safe YOU remains committed to strengthening prevention and response efforts against technology-facilitated gender-based violence and building safer digital environments for women and girls worldwide.
