i hold strength

At one of public events, a woman shared how Safe YOU became a crucial tool in protecting herself.

For years, she had faced domestic violence, but those around her didn't take her concerns seriously. Looking for a way to safeguard herself, she downloaded the Safe YOU app and set her mother as her emergency contact.

One day, when she sensed a situation escalating at home, she quickly pressed the SOS button. Her mother received the alert immediately and was able to step in, preventing further harm.

Her story was a reminder of how technology can offer a lifeline in critical moments. It reinforced the real-world impact of Safe YOU, demonstrating how a simple action within the app can make all the difference when someone is in danger.

I found my strength

A survivor of domestic violence recently shared her journey through an Instagram post, looking back on the moment she decided to reclaim her life. A year ago, she made a choice—to be strong, to fight for her dreams, and to put herself and her children first. And in that journey, Safe YOU played a crucial role. As she described it, just one button changed her life.

Her story began in October 2023 when she found herself trapped in her home with her children, beaten and unable to escape. In that desperate moment, she turned to Safe YOU. The app instantly connected her case to the authorities, and the police arrived just in time to rescue her and her children from further harm.

Later, when she stood up to seek justice, an audio recording captured through the app became a key piece of evidence in the case against her abuser. Today, she has no regrets. She is no longer living in fear—she is rebuilding her life, free from violence, with her three children by her side.

Safe YOU was more than just an app for her. It was the tool that gave her the strength to choose herself and a future without fear.

I finally pressed the help button

In a small village in Armenia, a mother of two had endured years of abuse with nowhere to turn. She knew what was happening to her was wrong, but without knowledge of available support services, she felt trapped and hopeless.

One day, while scrolling through social media, she came across a post from a local influencer mentioning the Safe YOU app. Curious, she downloaded it and started exploring its features. She didn't know then how crucial that decision would become.

A few days later, her husband brutally beat her. The attack was severe, leaving her in pain and terrified for her life—and for the safety of her children. The next morning, when he left for work, she finally found the courage to press the help button on Safe YOU.

Almost immediately, she was contacted and connected to a regional crisis center—something she had never even known existed. Within 24 hours, she and her children were safely relocated to a shelter, away from danger.

Her story is a powerful example of how technology can bridge the gap between survivors and the support they desperately need, reaching those who might otherwise remain unseen and unheard.

After years of silence, I chose courage.

"For more than 25 years, I endured abuse and humiliation from my husband, but fear kept me silent''.

One night, during a severe attack, she pressed the SOS button on the Safe YOU app.

The police arrived just in time. A few days later, she visited the Safe YOU office and brought another woman experiencing domestic violence to help her access the app. She had already felt how much the forums and free counseling helped her regain hope and stability.

''This experience showed me that even decades of fear can be met with courage and protection when women support each other and speak out together."

For the first time, my voice was finally heard.

''For years, I lived in silence, carrying bruises on my body and scars in my heart. Whenever I tried to speak up, people often dismissed my pain, thinking I was exaggerating. That disbelief was almost as painful as the violence itself.''

One night, when the violence became unbearable, she pressed the Safe YOU button. Her mother arrived just in time, but what helped her even before that moment was the Safe YOU community. Talking in Forums with other women, sharing her story, and speaking with consultants made her feel less alone and stronger.

Later, in court, the recording from the app became her voice. It gave her what she had been denied for so long proof of the violence she endured.

For the first time in a foreign country, I was not invisible

"When I arrived in Romania as a refugee from Ukraine, I felt completely lost''. She didn't know the language, had no friends, and she had already experienced harassment, so she was constantly afraid of being attacked again. ''I sank into depression''.

Then she found Safe YOU. In her own language, where she could finally share how she felt. ''Women I had never met sent me messages of support, and through the app, I was connected to psychological help and a local NGO that met me in person''.

She also attended Safe YOU gatherings face-to-face, and that's when she realized it's not just an app there are real people behind it, listening, guiding, and caring.

For the first time since arriving, she felt someone truly cared about her.

''Safe YOU became more than a digital tool it became proof that even in a foreign country, I was not invisible. It gave me both a community and real support to feel safe and begin rebuilding my life."
