Safe YOU

We are happy to announce that Safe YOU has officially launched its activities in Poland.

The inauguration took place on December 10, bringing together partners, stakeholders, and supporters who reaffirmed their commitment to advancing women’s rights and safety in the country. With this launch, Poland becomes the second EU member state, following Romania, where the Safe YOU platform is now active.

This milestone was made possible through a strong partnership with the Polish Feminoteka Foundation, which will serve as a key local partner, supporting effective service delivery and ensuring direct assistance to beneficiaries.

During the launch event, the Safe YOU team and representatives from the Feminoteka Foundation introduced the Safe YOU mobile application and hosted a panel discussion, followed by an engaging Q&A session with attendees.

The event welcomed numerous distinguished guests, including representatives from government and civil society organizations. Among them were H.E. Alexander Arzoumanian, Ambassador of Armenia to Poland, and Katarzyna Kotula, Poland’s Minister of Equality, both of whom expressed strong support for the initiative.

The Safe YOU initiative in Poland is being implemented with the support of the United Nations Population Fund’s Eastern Europe and Central Asia Regional Office (UNFPA EECARO). The project is funded by the U.S. Department of State and the governments of Canada, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, and Germany, demonstrating a united global commitment to promoting gender equality and protecting women’s rights.

Safe YOU continues its mission of building a safer, more inclusive digital and physical environment for women and girls. Through its mobile application, the platform offers immediate assistance and facilitates direct access to support networks — including specialized NGOs, professionals, international organizations, and government services — in the fight against gender-based violence.
